Today will be very similar to yesterday. It’s hot and humid with storms beginning to develop around noon although with our unstable/energized atmosphere, storms could pop up anytime and anywhere. Flooding will be a concern. These storms could produce very heavy rainfall especially in northeast Ohio.
What You Need To Know
- More high heat and humidity today.
- Chance of storms a little lower than yesterday.
- Some storms could produce heavy rainfall.
It’s possible Akron/Canton could pick up 3″ of rain just today. These storms could again produce some strong wind gusts especially as they “collapse” or move on.
Highs will again be in the lower and middle 90s with dew points in the middle/upper 60s. This will make it feel like 100° at times this afternoon. Storms will taper off after sunset but we can expect the same pattern for Thursday. A cold front will move through on Friday. This will bring relief from the heat and humidity through Monday. More widespread rain and even some strong storms are possible on Friday through Saturday. Some scattered showers are possible Sunday and Monday before skies dry out on Tuesday. Extended temperature forecasts show a return to the 90s by the middle of next week.
